Foundation
Our Mission
Empower all Albertans toward a secure and prosperous financial future.
The AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education is a registered charity led primarily by Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) employee and client volunteers.
At AIMCo, we do more than invest for our community — we invest in our community, too. Established in 2018, the AIMCo Foundation operates in Alberta to advance financial literacy and education and amplify AIMCo’s community impact.
All people deserve to feel the happiness, freedom and empowerment of financial stability. We’re here to work alongside our community as we strive to ensure everyone has what they need to improve their financial health and learn as much about money management as possible. We foster financial literacy through grants to registered nonprofit organizations that deliver diverse financial programming and services, as well as through scholarships and bursaries administered by post-secondary institutions offering formal financial education.
Community Grants
We fund a diverse array of initiatives taking both innovative and traditional approaches to financial literacy and education. Since our inception in 2018, our community grants program has distributed more than $1.2 million in funding to eligible causes.
